Salvation
The Lord convicted him of his sins under the preaching of Dr. John Rawlings. He was later converted to Christ in his home and led to the Lord by his saintly mother. In 1968, he was baptized by Dr. Rawlings at Landmark Baptist Temple.

Call to Preach
At the age of 18, after rededicating his life to the Lord, he was troubled for weeks concerning the call to preach. The conviction turned to compulsion, which led to surrender and increased assurance that the Lord had called him to preach. He was ordained by Bryan Station Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky in 1980.

• 1997–2001: Founder and Pastor, Medford, OR – Rogue Valley Baptist Church

• 2001–Present: Founder and Pastor, West Chester, OH – Morning Star Baptist Church

• 2002–Present: Co-founder of Antioch Baptist College

• 2011–Present: Founder, Lakota Christian School

• 2014–Present: Founder and Pastor, Central Point, Oregon – Morning Star Baptist Church

Pastor Ferrell has also helped start churches in Xenia, Washington Court House, Ohio, Peru, and the Philippines. Recently, he helped start a new church in the Philippines called Waldensian Baptist Church and one in Ghana called Heritage Bible Baptist Church.

He is the author of eighteen books and has taught in several Christian schools. Through Stellar Evangelistic Ministries, he now supports two orphanages and has launched Stellar Seals 4 Christ, a global outreach initiative.
